I am often asked where I’ll be shooting, and when. The “when” has a number of variables, mostly weather. Odds are, if the weather is good, I’ll be out there at least a couple of afternoons during the week, and one full day on the weekend (but sometimes more). Best thing to do is follow the Suck Creek Photos Facebook page<\/a>, where I always post when I’m going to be out.<\/p>\n\n\n

Now, the “where” is easier. My two favorite spots are The Turnback, which is the sharp hairpin turn on the back of the mountain; and Holloway’s Curve, which is a full, 180-degree curve as you start down the back of the mountain. But I do shoot at other places, most notably, Slayer Rock (so named because the “Slayer<\/a>” band logo is graffitied here more than 20 years ago). The field across the highway is also where I found my little cat, Snack Panther. When I’m at Slayer Rock, I can be on either side of the road (at the pull off, or in the field), and I usually bounce from one side to the other. There’s also The Cascades, which is the straightaway right before Prentice Cooper, and the Rock Wall, which is a sweeping curve about halfway down the Chattanooga side of the mountain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
